June 10, 1980 FIN – Fastener Manufacturers and distributors will have a new showcase at which to display their products next year.

The 1st National Industrial Fastener Show & Conference will be held June 3-4, 1981, at the new $36 million Ohio Center convention complex in Columbus, Ohio, which will open this fall.

The planned 150 booth exhibit will feature the latest lines in all types of industrial fasteners including nuts, bolts, screws, washers, rivets, studs, nails, pins, keys, socket screws, anchoring devices and a variety of other fastening products such as machines, tools and systems.

Exhibitors will consist of manufacturers, importers and master distributors from throughout the U.S.
The show promoters say they are also optimistic about participation by a number of European companies.

The two-day exhibit and conference is expected to attract 2,500 or more registrants from all across the country according to Marlisa Lantz, show & conference coordinator. These attendees will be executives representing distributors, mill suppliers, specialty tool and fastener houses.
Approximately 12,000 invitations will be sent, Lantz told FIN.

Complementing the large exposition will be daily educational and training seminars, free information exchange sessions and an “Idea Fair.”
The National Industrial Fastener event will feature many popular buyer incentives such as show specials, discounts, prepaid freight, invoice dating, cash rebates and distributorships, plus door prizes and other give-aways.

Bannister & Associates, Columbus, Ohio-based trade show promotion and management company will produce and manage the exhibition. The Bannister firm, which handles numerous other local, regional and national shows and conferences, is currently selling exhibit space.
