1982 FIN – NewsNet to Transmit FIN
June 22, 1982 FIN – Fastener Industry News (FIN) beginning in September, will be available via computer transmission as part of NewsNet’s electronic distribution and information retrieval services.
NewsNet, based in Bryn Mawr, PA., is a company which specializes in transmitting newsletters for immediate access through any personal computer terminal, or communicating word processor.
Besides making the entire contents of each newsletter instantly accessible (via a screen or hard copy using their printer), NewsNet will enable their subscribers (for a fee) to use keywords to retrieve information about any company or subject matter that has appeared in past copies of FIN.
About 70 newsletters are not part of NewsNet electronic transmission network. FIN is the only one of that group covering the fastener industry, ©1982/2010 Fastener Industry News
