1992 FIN – UZ Acquires State Products

February 15, 1992 FIN – UZ Engineered Products Co., has acquired the assets of State Products Corp., a Norristown, Pennsylvania automotive aftermarket and maintenance products supplier.

Hal Uhrman, president of State Chemical, commented that “This acquisition continues the sustained long-term growth demonstrated by State Chemical, which recently celebrated the 80th anniversary of its founding in Cleveland, Ohio.”

With this expansion, UZ’s product lines of fasteners, welding products will be joined by various automotive lines such as wheel, brake, suspension, steering, fuel, emission, lock, key and ignition parts.

UZ’s parent company, State Chemical, is a privately-held multinational corporation founded in 1911. State Chemical manufactures and distributes worldwide a complete line of specialty chemical products for building maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation.
