Fastener Sourcing Analyst

Brillion, WI – Endries International, Inc. a leading distributor of fasteners and other class “c” commodities and provider of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) worldwide, is seeking a Fastener Sourcing Analyst.

Essential Functions

  • Obtain timely quotations to complete inquiries for Sales on current products for current customers.
  • Review current spend to identify cost reduction opportunities via consolidation, market test, long-term agreements, standardization, etc. to meet assigned cost reduction goal for your commodity.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement objectives of Endries International via sound vendor management techniques.
  • Evaluate sources of supply for the lowest overall supply cost when all requirements are considered.
  • Research and identify new emerging products and capabilities and communicate them to the organization for implementation.
  • Visit suppliers, learn your commodities, and identify the principal cost drivers for their products.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Endries International including but not limited to ISO WI’s and SP’s; exhibit ethical and fair relationships with suppliers at all times.
  • Problem solve issues that arise and are presented from other departments such as Quality, Accounting, Sales, and Operations.

Education/Training Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Distribution or Operations Management or equivalent industry experience would be a plus.

Experience/Skills Required

  • Ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously and meet quotation deadlines. Time management skills.
  • Negotiation skills to negotiate terms and conditions of purchase, price, delivery, services, freight, etc.
  • Evaluation skills to analyze multiple bids and terms and select the lowest total cost option with the best performance.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Product/commodity knowledge – fasteners and fastener industry a plus
  • Organizational skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excel/Corvu/Trend capability.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Sense of urgency and commitment to internal and external customers.
