MW Industries Acquired by American Securities

Genstar Capital sold MW Industries, Inc. to affiliates of equity firm American Securities LLC in partnership with MW Industries management. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Rosemont, IL-based MW Industries manufactures precision springs and specialty fasteners.

Since be acquired by Genstar in 2011, MW Industries has acquired 12 spring, stamping and fastener manufacturing companies across the U.S. to broaden its product offerings in higher growth markets, including aerospace, consumer products and medical sectors. Companies include Tri-Star Industries, USA Fastener Group, Hi-Performance Fastening Systems, and Futuristics Components.
