1988 FIN – Textron’s Camcar to Acquire Rockford Headed Products

June 9, 1988 FIN – The Camcar Division of Textron, Inc., Rockford, Illinois, has signed an agreement to purchase Rockford Headed Products, also of Rockford. The previous owners of Rockford Headed Products, Frank and Tim Taylor, will remain with the business, which manufactures standard and semi-special fasteners and cold headed products for the automotive and appliance markets. Frank Taylor will serve as consultant to Camcar, and Tim Taylor has been named as division manager, overseeing the company’s 130 employees. Rockford Headed Products, which has been renamed to RHP products, has become one of the twelve operating divisions of Camcar. For your records, these divisions include, Amsco Products (Wytheville, Virginia), Camcar service Center (Decorah, Iowa), ECR Products (Elk Creek, Virginia), Raycarl/LDR Products (Rockford, Illinois), Sems Products (Rockford, Illinois), Socket Screw Products (Decorah, Iowa), Syntek Component Products (Rockford, Illinois), Taptite Products (Belvidere, Illinois), Torx Products (Rochester, Indiana), and RHP Products, the new division, which is located at 4814 American Rd., Rockford, Illinois.
