Chicago Changing to Spring Shows

The 20th annual Chicago Fastener Forum & Expo will be a dj vu event, as the show returns to a tabletop exhibits format and will be June 20, 2001, instead of in September.
The anniversary show will be in conjunction with the Chicago Bolt, Nut & Screw Associations 49th annual golf/tennis outing. The show will be on Wednesday and the golf/tennis outing on Thursday. Both events will be at the Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomington, IL.
The first show was held in 1981 at the Holiday Inn in Rosemont, IL. For the fifth year, booths were added around the perimeter of the hotel ballroom, and in the eighth year the show went to full booths at the Rosemont Convention Center.
CBNSA president Wally Olczak said the association polled exhibitors and found most could adapt their exhibits to either tabletop or booth spaces.
They also expressed much enthusiasm for the connection of the two events, especially the change of dates for the show, Olczak said. There are many shows being featured in the fall. Travel gets costly and hectic.
The 2002 show will return to the Rosemont Convention Center, near Chicagos OHare International Airport and be a spring event.
The 19th annual show will be September 19, 2000, in Rosemont. For information, contact Nancy Rich 847 438-8338 or 800 753-8338. Fax 847 438-7580. E-mail: cbnsa@aol.com
