Fastenal Sponsors Driver for Sprint Cup

Fastenal Co. said it will sponsor NASCAR driver Carl Edwards for 17 Sprint Cup races beginning in 2012 as part of a multi-year agreement with Roush Fenway Racing.
Fastenal has been the primary sponsor for Edwards in the Nationwide Series the last two seasons.
Fastenal is the first company to announce a primary sponsorship with Edwards.
“I’ve appreciated the long relationship that I’ve had with Fastenal,” Edwards said in a news release. “I’m proud that they believe so strongly in our team and program that they are making the commitment to sponsor us in the Sprint Cup Series.”
Fastenal also will sponsor two other Roush Fenway cars in a Cup race in 2012 to have three Fastenal-branded cars in one event.
Edwards has won five times in a Fastenal-sponsored car in the Nationwide Series, including four times this year.
“It’s hard to imagine a better driver or a better spokesperson for our company than Carl Edwards,” said Fastenal Executive Vice President of Operations Cory Jansen.
