Feng Hsin Raises Steel Prices

A second Taiwan steelmaker, Feng Hsin Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., followed China Steel Corporation in raising its wire rod base price.

China Steel’s wire and bar prices rose US$55 per ton for October and November. Feng Hsin is up by US$45 ton.

Feng Hsin reduced its surcharge on some steel products.

The surcharge for chromium molybdenum alloy steel round bar is about US$ 200 per ton, but Fen Hsin increased its surcharge US$185. ©2009 GlobalFastenerNews.com
