Goodman & Roberto Honored By IFE
The International Fastener Expo (IFE) announced the recipients of its two highest individual industry honors for 2026.
Taryn Goodman, VP of Industrial Rivet & Fastener Co., has been named the 2026 Young Fastener Professional (YFP) of the Year, while Tim Roberto Jr., president of Star Stainless Screw Company, will be inducted into the International Fastener Expo Hall of Fame.
Taryn Goodman grew up in the fastener industry, gaining early exposure by organizing company files and entering orders at her family business, Industrial Rivet & Fastener Co. After earning dual degrees in Economics and Biology from Williams College, she began her career in investment banking before earning her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She returned to Industrial Rivet full time as VP in 2012.
“Her blend of financial expertise, strategic leadership, and commitment to the family business exemplifies the next generation of fastener industry leadership,” IFE stated.
Tim Roberto Jr. has dedicated 35 years to Star Stainless Screw Company, beginning his career in the warehouse and rising through the organization. He has served in leadership roles with NFDA, Pac-West, FTI, and the Fastener Education Fund. Roberto also helped expand the industry’s product landscape through specialty fastening solutions, and secured the exclusive North American distribution partnership with Bumax.

The awards presentation is scheduled for October 8 at 2pm during the 2026 IFE event in Phoenix.
