Known previously as the National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo, the 37th annual trade show ran Tuesday through Thursday this week with a new name: International Fastener Expo.

Located at Paradise Road and East Desert Inn Rd., LVCC is 1.4 miles north and east of the Sands Convention Center – where NIFMSE has been for four years.

The Las Vegas edition of the trade show founded in 1981 in Columbus, OH, was first held in 1997 as NIFS/West. Starting with 228 booths in the inaugural year, the West show outgrew the East show in 2000. NIFS/East continued in Columbus, Orlando, Atlanta and Baltimore until being cancelled after the 2011 show.

Over the years the Las Vegas show has also been located at Bally’s, Paris and Mandalay Bay in addition to Sands.

Last year was the first NIFMSE for new owners Emerald Exhibitions LLC and it was a record year. NIFMSE drew a record 758 exhibiting companies totaling topping the 1,000 booth mark. Show management announced attendee registration was up 18%, making the count about 1,473.

IFE will be just one year at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Emerald has announced it will move to Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas for the October 30-November 1, 2018, trade show (see GlobalFastenerNews.com).
