MWFA Opens Its 33rd Annual Show

The Midwest Fastener Association is holding its 33rd annual trade show today at Belvedere Banquets, in Elk Grove Village, IL, followed by its 62nd annual golf outing on Tuesday at Eaglewood Resort, Itasca, IL.
FIN takes a look back at the history of the association.
In 1946 four fastener executives, Howard Langdon, Ly Nathan, Al Granat and Manny Slutzky, talked about forming an association to buy basic supplies such as cartons. They wanted to get the best prices and exchange credit information.
The four started the Chicago Bolt, Nut & Screw Association.
In 2004 CBNSA changed its name to Mid-West Fastener Association.
