The following is a press release provided to GlobalFastenerNews.com. Contact the individual company for additional information.

The new base model of the PEMSERTER® Series 2000® fastener installation press from PennEngineering® introduces a manual-feed system offering the same powerful ram force and ideal throat depth as the higher-end automatic version.

The press is uniquely engineered to promote streamlined performance and high quality when installing self-clinching fasteners permanently and reliably in thin metal sheets. This base model ultimately equips shops with a cost-effective equipment solution ideally suited for short production runs or similar jobs where automation would not be appropriate.

As with the automatic version, the PEMSERTER Series 2000 base press provides 71.2 kN / 8 tons of ram force and a 61 cm / 24” throat depth with generous clearance for a wide variety of chassis configurations. The press operates with an air-over-oil actuating system enabling short cycle time for increased productivity. Enhanced programming delivers quicker start-up and fast cycling.

Other features and benefits include job search and recall mode allowing operators to reference 99 stored jobs and return to previous jobs quickly and easily; touch-screen and graphics to minimize operator training and simplify use; multi-language capabilities pre-loaded on the touch screen; real-time installation force feedback displayed on screen; fastener and batch counters; descriptive screen alerts for operating errors; smart dwell and force verification; self-diagnostic system for increased speed, accuracy and confidence; and LIGHTSTREAM® Operator Safety System ensuring continuous protection for both operator and workpiece.

This newest manual press joins an expanded and diverse family of PEMSERTER fastener installation equipment and systems from simple hand tools to the most technologically advanced press systems available in the industry.
