Private equity firms on both sides of the pond poured as much as $1.75 billion into the fastener industry in the past few weeks.

The three deals comprise significant investment in the aerospace infrastructure, power generation, telecommunications, and industrial manufacturing markets.

The acquisitions come amid continued investor interest in industrial manufacturing and distribution businesses that serve essential end markets.

MW Components Sold to UK Investment Firm
Charlotte, NC-based MW Components operates 24 manufacturing sites in the U.S. to produce fasteners, springs, and precision metal components for aerospace & defense, electronics, semiconductors, medical, energy, agriculture, and other industrial markets.

ITP Acquired by Equity Firm
Deal to acquire Interstate Threaded Products establishes a new fastener platform that Rox Capital Partners plans to expand through organic growth and future acquisitions.

2nd Equity Firm Invests in FDH Aero
Partnership will “support FDH’s next phase of growth with continued investment in the company’s capabilities… through both organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions.”
