Robotic Screw Fastening System Under $40K

The following is a press release provided to GlobalFastenerNews.com. Contact the individual company for additional information.

Introducing cost effective desktop robotic system for screw fastening to reduce labor costs and improve quality control. The systems are built around the Janome desktop robot, a three or four axis robot available in five models with working areas from 200mm x 200mm to 510mm x 600 mm all with repeatable accuracy of +/- 0.01mm.

The systems are available with a choice of drivers, from electric drivers for routine applications to extremely accurate torque control systems that use servomotors to drive along with sophisticated software for programming,.

Several screw feeders are available to handle a large variety of screw types with easily changeable rails and different capacity reservoirs depending on the volume of screws to be used, including blow feeding for higher throughput.

Programming a series of screw tightening conditions is very simple using the remote teaching pendant with its large 7-line screen. Conditions such as screw length, thread pitch, and rotational speed can be programmed without any manual calculations.  A typical program of conditions and robot positioning can be created in less than ten minutes and the robot can store up to 255 programs in the resident memory card.

Optionally, the screw fastening software allows off-line programming and storage of programs onto your PC for downloading to the robot. Fancort can design and build fixtures for most applications.
