Taiwan Hardware Show Drawing Attendees from Around the World

Beyond visiting exhibitor booths at the 12th annual Taiwan Hardware Show, the organizers are encouraging customers to use the opportunity to tour factories too.
The 12th annual Taiwan Hardware Show, organized by Kaigo Co. Ltd. and co-organized by the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers Association, will be October 11-13, 2012, at the Taipei World Trade Center.
The trade show is designed for worldwide customers to meet Taiwan manufacturers.
The show is timed in conjunction with the Canton Fair to allow international visitors to take a 1.5 hour direct flight. That adds to the cost-effectiveness of the trip.
Kaigo noted THS is the only annual trade show including all the relevant fields.
In 2011, Kaigo reported 19,562 professional buyers from 57 countries visited the Taiwan Hardware Show.
About half the international visitors came from countries such as Russia and South America. A third came from western countries of Europe and North America.
There were 233 exhibiting companies in 2010 and that rose to 255 for 2011.
Exhibitors said they were delighted by the spike in international visitors in recent years.
The increase in attendees came despite the global financial crisis.
“Overseas buyers firmly believe THS can assist them in sourcing value added hardware products and outperform their competitors,” the organizers said. The buyers “were quite pleased with the products on display and impressed by the generous hospitality bestowed by Taiwanese companies.
Kaigo is projecting there will be more than 350 exhibiting companies this year and 25,000 attendees.
In addition to fasteners, there will be sections for tools & accessories; locks & fittings; building supplies; garden & outdoor equipment; automotive supplies; machines and plant equipment; and safety equipment.
Fastener & fixings exhibitors are among the categories increasing more than 20% for 2012.
