Tentec Announces Global Bolt Training Program

Tentec announced Engineering construction Industry Training Board certified bolt train courses and qualifications for the construction industry.
Birmingham, UK-based Tentec recently acquired Peak Performance to expand its education program.

Tentec courses include the use of bolt tightening tooling, assembly of components, joint verification and quality paperwork, risk assessment, method statements, isolations, interpretation of drawings and flange management.

The training covers hand torque, hydraulic torque and hydraulic tensioning and the use of hydraulic nuts and Tentec’s BTS / bolt tightening software.

Tentec has scheduled courses this year in Vietnam, Ireland, Croatia, Greece and the UK.

Tentec offers a follow up series of technical tests leading to a three-year ECITB global certification.

“We recognize how important it is that our tools are used correctly,” Tentec managing director Mike Gethings said.  “Not only is it a safety issue with structured training leading to the reduction in accidents and failures but efficient use also results in an extension of the tools’ working lifetime.”
