U.S. & China Top Customers for Japanese Steel Wire
The Japan Iron & Steel Federation announced steel wire exports for July 2010 were up
The U.S. imported 5,302 tons of Japanese steel wire in July 2010, compared with 5,066 tons shipped to China.
However, China has imported 32,966 tons thus far in 2010, compared with 31,696 ton total to the U.S.
For the year, Taiwan is the third largest importer of steel wire from Japan at 18,115 tons; followed by Thailand at 16,882 tons and Korea at 8,532.
