The Western Association of Fastener Distributors is considering various forms of alliance with the National Fastener Distributors Association.\
The WAFD board announced to members at the annual business meeting that they have discussed possibilities ranging from regional chapter status to a trial membership with member pricing on NFDA programs.
WAFD vice president Steve Kendall said no alliance would be completed without a vote of the membership.
The WAFD board has favored a “walk-before-you-run” philosophy of working together while the NFDA has encouraged some form of merger.
