74% of STAFDA Distributors Sell Threaded Fasteners

The 1,067 STAFDA distributorships have 4,418 branches – totaling 5,485 locations.
That gives STAFDA members more locations than the 3,725 for Home Depot (1,972) and Lowe’s (1,753) combined.
The 35th annual Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association convention opens this weekend in San Antonio.
According to STAFDA, 74% of its distributor members sell threaded fasteners; 74% adhesives & sealants; 64% threaded rod; and 46% blind rivets.
Based on the percentages of distributors carrying given products, the top 10 STAFDA categories are: Drill bits, blades, hand tools, portable electric tools, abrasives, anchors, safety equipment, cords/cables/lights, drywall screws and screwdriver accessories.
