ACQUISITION: Marmon Group Acquires Nylok

The Marmon Group of companies added Nylok Fastener Corporation to its 100 companies, including four fastener manufacturers.
Companies in the Marmon Group operate independently, and Marmon announced Max Dorflinger will continue to manage Macomb, MI-based Nylok.
Founded in 1942, Nylok supplies self-locking, self-sealing and thread protection processes for fasteners. Nylok has facilities totaling 170,000 sq ft in Lincolnwood, IL; Hawthorne, NJ; Anaheim, CA; and Brampton, Ontario. In addition, Nylok has licensees in 17 countries.
Nylok employs 275 people.
Chicago-based Marmon is an international association of autonomous manufacturing and service companies with collective sales exceeding $6.5 billion.
Marmon has been headed by CEO Robert Pritzker since 1953.
Among Marmon holdings are Pan American Screw, Robertson Inc., Deerwood Fasteners International Inc., and Atlas Bolt & Screw Company.
David LaPore is president of Robertson and Pan American Screw. Both LaPore and Dorflinger are former chairmen of the Industrial Fasteners Institute.
