Distributor Looking for Fastener Buyers
Mid-Sized fastener distributor located in Ohio is looking for a buyer of fasteners.
Candidate must possess:
– Three to five or more years purchasing experience
– Excellent negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with internal/external suppliers and customers
– Strong work ethic and teamwork; “can do” attitude and desire to provide the best service.
– Good computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and experience with MRP or ERP systems
– Good quantitative and analytical skills.
– Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and quick learner
– Successful candidate will have occasional travel to supplier locations (domestic)
– Focus and track record with Continuous Improvement & Supplier Development
– Competitive nature, need to win for the company and self
– Ability to read blueprints is preferred
– Familiarity with manufacturing and materials such as various types of fasteners is a plus
