In his Top Ten Fastener Acquisitions of 2011, Richard Hagan includes the purchase of Elgin Fastener Group LLC. Details of the Elgin deal and the other nine top acquisitions will be released this coming week on GlobalFastenerNews.com.

Watchmaker Elgin entered the fastener industry 25 years ago with the acquisition of several manufacturing and distribution companies from Nortek Inc. for about $17 million. The acquisition story is available today among the 1987 stories in the Fastener History section of GlobalFastenerNews.com.
