Fastener Industry Gathers in Las Vegas

The National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo opens this week in Las Vegas with a record number of 822 booths.

• The previous record was 821 in 2007.  

• The 2013 NIFMSE totaled 794 booths. According to show management a total of 4,577 people registered for the 2013 trade show – including 2,474 exhibit staff and 1,330 distributors.

• The first western version of the trade show was held in 1997 with 228 booths.

 

It is the 34th year for the show, which began as the National Industrial Fastener Show & Conference in June 1981 in Columbus, Ohio, with 103 booths.  That number grew to 653 by the record Columbus year in 1998. The last East show was 2011. 

The 2014 NIFMSE has conferences at the Sands Expo & Convention Center on Wednesday, followed by an evening opening reception at Treasure Island. The trade show at Sands is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.  Web: fastenershows.com
