Gripple Supplies Solar Farm
Wire fastener manufacturer Gripple supplied the construction of a new solar farm with its lightweight solar bracing kit.
The Sheffield-based company supplied the bracing kits in six meter lengths to the frame manufacturer, which supplied a complete system for installation by the contractor.
A total of 2,200 Gripple Bracing Kits were installed across the site.
“By using our wire bracing kits, (the contractor) was able to reduce the need for excess heavy plant to move traditional steelwork around the site, resulting in both carbon and cost savings,” stated Gripple solar business development manager Stuart Helm.
“The kits can be transported to site in a van or truck and moved easily by hand or on a typical flat bed vehicle, which made handling much easier, as well as reducing carbon emissions.”
