NORMA Group Improves Clamp Safety with New Bolt Head

Maintal, Germany – NORMA Group AG (‘NORMA Group’), a global market and technology leader for engineered joining technology, has launched a tamper-proof worm-drive clamp.

The NORMACLAMP TORRO Tamper Proof comes with a special bolt head that can only be mounted and removed by way of a matching tool.

NORMA Group has pressed ahead with the development of this product because an increasing number of clients seek clamps that cannot be re-opened with traditional tools such as screw drivers or tongs.

The car industry is using the tamper-proof clamps for instance in order to avoid errors in the assembly of components such as pre-assembled tank, air induction or cooling systems: The special tool that reliably finds the bolt head and allows to assemble the TORRO Tamper Proof clamp more quickly and in a reliable manner facilitates existing processes. It also ensures that cars can only be repaired in qualified workshops.

Werner Deggim, CEO of NORMA Group, says: ‘We are very proud of this important product innovation. It helps our clients to make their products and applications even safer, simplify processes and thus save costs.’

Municipalities also benefit from the tamper-proof clamps as they protect road signs as well as containers for waste and reusable materials in public areas against theft.

The new tamper-proof clamp is manufactured in the Maintal and Gerbershausen production facilities in Germany and is available effective immediately.
