Outlaw Fasteners Exceeds Funding Goal on Kickstarter
Charlotte based fastener design and distribution company, Outlaw Fasteners, has reached and exceeded its $100,000 funding goal on the popular crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter. Outlaw is the largest successfully funded Kickstarter project to come out of the Charlotte, NC area. Outlaw Fasteners hit their funding goal in less than 30 days from beginning the Kickstarter campaign.
Due to the successful Kickstarter campaign, Outlaw Fasteners will have now raised enough funding to get production started on their revolutionary deck screws and the UniGrip Drive System.
“We are very grateful for everyone who has supported and contributed to our Kickstarter campaign. Thanks to the efforts of the crowdsourced community, we will be able to introduce the biggest innovation in screw technology in 80 years to the world”, said Outlaw Marketing Director Ron Elmore.
The revolutionary design of The World’s Best Deck Screw virtually eliminates many of the existing problems with other screws currently on the market. The tiered-hexagonal screw head shape features up to 18 points of contact with the UniGrip bit – 14 more points than a traditional Philips screw. The numerous points of contact create the highest torque to driver ratio of any screw in the world and virtually eliminate “camout” and stripping.
The World’s Best Deck Screw only requires the use of a single bit for every size and type of screw Outlaw Fasteners plans to make. The single bit will work on screw sizes from 5/64” to ½” in diameter, representing a significant advancement in the fastener industry.
The Outlaw Deck Screw and UniGrip Drive System have already received acclaim from several hardware industry experts. In the beginning of October, Outlaw Fasteners was a recipient of a 2013 Pro Tool Innovation Award.
