Powers Names Surjan Director of Adhesive Technology

Powers Fasteners Inc. appointed James Surjan director of adhesive technology for an expansion of adhesive products research and development, Jake Olsen, R&D vice president, announced.
Surjan joined Powers after 13 years with Illinois Tool Works, including seven eyars as Red Head operations & technology manager.
Olsen noted Surjan’s experience and education as a chemist will help in “approvals, product testing, technical documentation, training and engineering aspects of adhesives that are sourced products for Powers.” Surjan also will work with the manufacturing vice president on incoming inspection and the engineering director in marketing on technical documentation for literature and code approvals.
Powers Fasteners supplies mechanical and adhesive anchors, roofing fasteners, gas-technology tools, powder-actuated fastening systems and accessories for the construction and plant maintenance markets.
