Warren Fastenings South Inc., the Low Country’s largest Full-Line Stocking Distributor of Fasteners, MRO, and Mill Supplies, is seeking to fill the role of Purchasing Agent. Job Responsibilities

• Purchase products/materials needed to meet customer demand; build and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Assist with inventory control and review to maintain sufficient inventory levels, optimize inventory turns, and reduce excess stock of obsolete and/or unneeded assets
• Accurately utilize the MRP/ERP system
• Collaborate with other internal departments to satisfy customer buying needs and enhance supply chain performance
• Develop and cultivate new suppliers both domestically and abroad
• Negotiate with vendor partners to ensure WFS has the BEST Value Proposition to include Terms, Price, Freight, and Optimum Quantities
• Monthly reporting to the Executive Team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and/or 3+ years of procurement experience in a distribution environment highly preferred
• Fastener Industry experience highly desired
• Proficiency in Office 365 (including MS Excel) and prior/current utilization of MRP/ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management
• Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, communication, time management, and negotiation skills
• Commitment to ethical conduct & high standards
• Attention to detail complimented with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment
