Industrial Fastener Distributor seeks Experienced Manager to manage and grow our business in SE Michigan. Extensive territory, Fastener and MRO knowledge required. Minimum 3 years Industrial Sales experience required. 5 years of Management experience required (supervising a minimum of 10 people).
The successful Candidate will be a sales driven leader with exceptional customer service skills, extensive Fastener, Hardware, Tool and MRO Supply experience. He / she has a dynamic personality, professional demeanor, negotiation and Sales skills.  He / she will have an intimate knowledge of industry for growth opportunities from living and working in the area. He / she will have a minimum of 3 years experience in Industrial Sales.  He / she is an effective Manager with the ability to relate to and motivate their staff. While this is primarily a Management position it is also a hands-on beyond a desk job that requires the employee to do whatever it takes to get the job done and satisfy the customer. This position requires a minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience. Bachelor in Business preferred.

This is a Full-Time Exempt position. Includes Base Salary, Branch Performance based commissions plus competitive benefits package including 401(k) with employer match.

Job Description
Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of a division of a larger company. Duties and responsibilities include managing daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources. Often duties are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services. Directly supervise & coordinate activities of sales workers, includes non-retail and retail.

Responsibilities include:

• Direct and coordinate activities of departments concerned with pricing, sales, or distribution of products.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Manage the movement of goods.
• Review sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Determine goods and services to be sold, have input on setting prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand.
• Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
• Manage and motivate staff, prepare work schedules and assign specific duties.
• Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, coordinating with other department heads as required.
• Plan store layouts, and design displays.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Five plus years of Management Experience (minimum 10 people)
• Three plus years of Industrial Sales Experience.
• Intimate knowledge of industry for growth opportunities within Statesville, North Carolina resulting from living and working in the area
• Excellent Computer Skills
• Extensive Product Knowledge
• Extensive Product Application Knowledge
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008
• Excellent Judgment
• Dynamic Personality
• Understanding of Employment law an asset
• Basic Payroll and Accounting Skills an asset
• Willingness to be hands-on and do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer. undergo drug screening, possess a private drivers license
