Rocknel Fastener Inc. is marking its 25th anniversary. Founded in 1989 as a joint venture between American and Japanese companies, Rocknel manufactures cold formed automotive and commercial fasteners. Japan-based Meira Inc. acquired the outstanding shares of Rocknel in 1998,
Today Rocknel has 115 employees and operates a two-building facility in Illinois totaling 860,000 sq ft. and has a sales office in Dublin, OH.
Major customers include Honda of America automotive assembly plants, Honda suppliers and Detroit 3 Tier component manufacturers in the U.S,, Japan, Canada, Mexico, and UK.
Headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, Meira develops and produces automotive and aerospace fasteners. In addition to Rocknel, Meira, Inc. has plants in Japan and Thailand. Previously, Meira was named Nagoya Screw Manufacturing Company Ltd.
