� Jim Bannister, managing partner for the Fastener Industry Shows Partnership, appointed David Bannister national sales manager for the shows held in Las Vegas since 1997 and Columbus, OH, since 1981.

� NYF Corp. is collaborating with Redpoint Controls LLC to study the feasibility of a supplier-managed inventory control system using intelligent storage containers. The project is funded by a $100,000 grant from a National Science Foundation small business research program.
�With the goal of elevating remote inventory to an automated level, Redpoint Controls and NYF have the opportunity to introduce an electronically based method to enhance the level of customer service and success throughout the entire manufacturing industry,� NYF president Roger Crosby said.
Crosby also announced NYF is implementing a point-of-use inventory replenishment system for all hardware parts used by International Fuel Cells of South Windsor, CT.
