WAFD and LAFA Mull Merger

The Los Angeles Fastener Association and Western Association of Fastener Distributors may unify the two associations into one new organization, the groups told their members. The associations considered a similar measure in 2003, though the issue never made it to a vote.
“Both associations have recently identified strategic directions that make such a unification a means to accomplish other strategic goals,” according to the announcement.
LAFA is developing the Fastener Training Institute, while WAFD is creating new social networking platforms for business owners to enhance learning opportunities.
