12th Korea Fastener & Wire Show Begins October 27

Korea Metal Week features a Fastener & Wire section organized by the Korea Federation of Fasteners Industry Cooperatives.
The 12th Fastener & Wire Korea trade show will be October 27-31, 2009, at the Korea International Exhibition Center/KINTEX in Gayang City, Gyeonggi province. Simultaneous exhibitions include KOMAF/Korea Machinery Fair and Tool Tech.
The 11th Fastener & Wire Korea in 2007 drew 4,165 registrations, according to the show organizers.
Founded in 1989 as Fastener & Wire Korea, Korea Metal Week includes fastener equipment and manufacturing; fastening & precision formed parts and fastening & assembly systems; and wire production & manufacturing.
Simultaneous exhibitions include KOMAF/Korea Machinery Fair and Tool Tech. The shows include foundry/forging & furnace; cable & tube/pipe; die casting; and machine parts & mold manufacturing.
Conferences include “Reducing Cost of Production,” “E-Manufacturing,” and “Domestic & Foreign Die Casting Market Trends.”
In 2007 the combined shows reported a total of 34,125 visitors with 80.2% being domestic buyers and 6.1% overseas buyers.
A total of 29.5% came from Asia; 28.4% Japan; 10.9% Europe; 7.8% China; 6.8% Middle East; 5.6% Africa; 5.6% North America; and 2.6% Central & South America.
