� Daniel Huhn received the outstanding achievement award from the Automotive Industry Action Group. Huhn, who was vice chair and secretary of the fastener work group developing the Standardization of Fastener Containers Guideline, was honored for volunteer participation and leadership in AIAG.
Huhn is the former senior product manager for Orbins in Oconomowoc, WI. He now lives in Cedarburg, WI.

� Birmingham Fastener & Supply Inc. is relocating its bulk distribution division to a new 120,000 sq ft warehouse. BFS purchased the 56-acre industrial park parcel in Hanceville, AL. All other operations will remain in Birmingham, AL.

� Alexander Blum is the new general manager of Blum-Novotest Group. Founder Guenther Blum remains active in the company leadership.

� Fastener Technology International is adding a new Fastener Focus section to debut in the October 2001 issue, editor Mike McNulty announced. FTI is a quarterly international technical magazine covering the mechanical fasteners and precision formed parts industry. The new section will expand coverage to news for fastener distributors, importers, reps, OEMs and end-users.

� Nylok Fastener Corporation is expanding its North American operations with the opening of Nylok Southwest, president Max Dorflinger announced.
Nylok will open a 20,000 sq ft Dallas/Fort Worth-area facility this fall to service manufacturers in Texas, Mississippi, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas and Louisiana.
Peter Henley, currently Midwest operations manager, will oversee the Texas plant in addition to his responsibilities at Nylok�s Illinois facility. Wade Pence will join Nylok as manufacturing manager, and Gina Shepherd will be inside sales manager.

Charles Accetta, Tower�s quality assurance director, was elected to the ISO/TC69 U.S. technical advisory group. Accetta has been with Tower for 15 years.
